Strange how Birmingham, AL area singers have made it to the final two in almost all the Idol competitions... Generally speaking, I don't really care about the show, how can I really enjoy the singing? Now for a brain-buster... did anybody watch the final show tonight? Was there something wrong with the sound in the first 30 minutes or so? I tried to watch it. Had the hearing aid on. The captions seemed to follow the action on screen. The sound however, sounded like a commentary from PBS or something, or a narrative from a nature show, I dunno. I didn't hear anything that closely resembled what the Idol show was supposed to sound like. So I changed the channel. Sure, I'm fucking deaf, don't get me wrong. But something was definitely wrong with the sound on that show. Get this... the TV show rated a 74% viewing, the highest of all Idol competitions and the highest rating of any show all year. It even put the Super Bowl to shame, which only had something like 52%? It was in the newspaper earlier this week. Now it's all over and everybody can get the fuck back to their lives.
