jdthomas 0 #1 May 27, 2006 I am working today and we had to take the ambulance to do a standby at the atchison kansas fly in. I was very dissapointed in the fly in and airshow. When i saw that this air show was during my shift and there was a rig going out I asked for that slot and my boss was happy to give me the slot. Man I see why my co workers don't care to go sit there. i thought it was because none of my cow workers liked planes.. nope that event just sucks! Here is the kicker, you would think that event would be good as this is the home town of Amelia Earhart and the airport is so named after her. I was told that in years past there where hundreds of planes, todays count..24! The positive of it for me was I got paid to be there and arranged some sail plane flight time!
