ntrprnr 0 #1 May 29, 2006 Sittin on my balcony, typing away, and this rumble starts... Next thing I see is the Blue Angels, flying in formation up the Hudson River, RIGHT over my balcony. Was THAT close. HOW COOL!_______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

Don't they fly trainer jets, like the Canadian Snowbirds? How many of them are in formation at a time? I've seen the Blue Angels and the Snowbirds. Kind of 2 different types of shows. All of them display pilot skill by the bucketful.
shropshire 0 #5 May 29, 2006 Just joshing with you... in a patriotic way.... Anyone who flies with such precision is a star in my book. Yes the 'Arrows clicky fly 9 Hawks (originally flew Gnats, when I were a lad). (.)Y(.) shropshire 0 #7 May 29, 2006 On an even lighter note.... A bunch of cadets formed a display team called the Red Barrows, they used wheelbarrows to perform a display routine at fetes and the like....clicky (.)Y(.) Yep, but fitted out with cannons and missile hardpoints quite a few countries use the Hawk as a fighter. Of course the differences in aircraft type and formation size make it impossible to say who's best..... but the Red Arrows are bestDo you want to have an ideagasm? ACMESkydiver 0 #9 May 29, 2006 I hate the fuckers. They wouldn't do a fly-by for a fallen sailor during SeaFair that would have taken them 10 miles out. The fly-by our pilots did and missing man formation was FAR better than any of those egotistical assholes could have come up with, anyway. Ok, ok...maybe none of the pilots were made privy to the request, so I won't hold them accountable...but their PR dude is a fucking prick. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
