Yet another first!

I attended my first boogie at Skydive Temple this weekend. It was so amazing...I love that place. My friend Cannie (Mockingbird), who just got her 'A', came with me. We hung out on the ground for most of the day because of the freaky winds, but had loads of fun anyway! We also hung out with Walt and watched him do some really cool CRW.

I managed to get a couple of jumps in around sunset and it was well worth the wait. Met a few of you as well:)

Yeah, it WAS fun, wasn't it, Special-K?

Skydivermom was awesome---- she was chompin' at the bit to get up in that sky, but she listened to Larry & Jen about the winds, checked the wind meter often, and played it safe. Fortunately, I had a headache so I wasn't even tempted! I'm glad the wind simmered down a bit so she could jump.

I got to meet some neat people--- Wendy, Walt, Sherry, Patrick, Herbert, Woody, Kim, K(C!)athy... whoa--there were so many I was introduced to that I can't remember them all, and there wasn't enough time to get to know them all. But it was a GREAT crowd-- fun, friendly, approachable, crazy! Fun to see lots of familiar faces, as well!!!!

Good food, too! And the Goody bags/t-shirts! Can't wait for the next boogie------ SKYFEST!!

Sounds like you guys had an awesome time, Im still behaving and following the "no jump" orders but ohhhh it appears I picked a bad weekend to behave. Seems every DZ in Texas had such a great time

All you need do is show up at Skydive Temple in Salado. It is certainly one of the friendliest DZs I have ever been to. You can show up alone and have no worries about having someone to jump with (they're really good like that).
