He was "awake" and "aware" of what was going on. For a man high on morphine he was doing pretty well. He knew who I was, who his mother was and where he was. Even showed me signs of sarcasm when asked if he knew who I was. He shrugged and frowned, then smiled. He's still got along long road to travel before he's out of the hospital let alone holding his baby girl. I don't have many friends but the ones I do are very special to me.
