how can anyone live without a kitchenaid mixer and only the best cook book every made... The NEW Joy of Cooking!!! i think id die with out those 2 things in my kitchen, that along with my butcher block and chicago knive co set, oh and a pizza stone! awesome crock pot too!

I have to agree whole-heartedly...I have, for the sake of my cooking-like-Martha Stewart fantasies bought a KitchenAid mixer, a good set of pans, a rotissery...but do I use them??. No, not really.

Yah, it's what you think it is...it's really the best for the mixin' of things - if you get the top-of-the-line one it comes w/dough hooks and a couple of different attachments (like pasta maker) and a heavy-duty motor.
