My 15 month old is being hospitalized

Recommended Posts

As if the weekend wasn't bad enough, my 15 month old has been running a fever off and on for several days now. We haven't been able to get it down. She's sluggish, just not herself. So wife just called from the doctor's office.

They're hospitalizing her right away, they fear something serious is up, don't have any details yet. I'll post more as I have info. Please send prayers and vibes.

I was supposed to be travelling to philly in an hour for work... not anymore.

Fuck. Can't this shit just stop? Please?

I miss Lee.
And JP.
And Chris. And...

I'm very sorry to hear this news.

I have a daughter and she has had issues with high fevers - the highest was a temp of 106.2 - and the longest length of a "fever" episode lasted 6 days carrying an average fever of 103.5. It's very scary. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

I hope they find the problem quickly and resolve it.

Please keep us posted.

BTDT unfortunately [:/]

My 12 week old has been in the pediatric intensive care unit 3 times in the last month... so I know what you are going through.

If you/your wife is able to stay with her in her room be sure you bring a radio to play soft music and a book for yourself to read....

Best wishes,

Love on Dilla for me, and know that my prayers are being sent. She will be fine - she's such a darling one...and a fighter! So rest in the Promises you know to be true, and also know that many are praying and vibing for you, her, and Lori.

Hang tight - and please update us as you can.

And yes, it will stop. In time. As someone else said, this time isn't something we can go around, so we must just go through. What comfort is there is knowing that you're surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones...and we're all going through together.

Love you-
Michele

Big hugs to ya, it's tough when a little one is going through health challenges. I'm with ya buddy, I just got back with my Jaleesa an hour ago. :S

Not to pry micro, but are there any other symptoms? Odd ones, like a weird rash? Does it look like she has pink eye in both eyes?

Just curious. My son had a high fever for 5+ days and a bunch of symptoms as a baby. It was a rare illness, and I have never known anyone else personally that had it, but I always like to bring up the symptoms just in case. He was originally misdiagnosed; as I said it's a rare illness. I'm sure it's prolly just a baby going through typicl kid sickness, but if any of those odd things I mentioned show up, just PM me and I can help steer ya in the right direction perhaps. :)
