Misslmperfect 0 #1 June 3, 2006 morning! i bought a bottle of sauvignon blanc at a restaurant a while back, and i've been trying to find it in stores ever since. apparently, you cant buy it here. its a Kim Crawford wine, out of new zealand... my question is, if retailers in my area dont sell it (dallas), is there a way i can have it shipped to me? ive never done this before. any suggestions?Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison! freeflir29 0 #6 June 3, 2006 Since you live in a good sized city like Dallas. I would just go to your local liquor store armed with the distributor list. Ask the manager if they would order some for you. They usually will.
 dgskydive 0 #7 June 3, 2006 Damn! Shannon would have known what to do!! My family used to own a Liquor store, I bet if you call an importer they can point you in the right direction. Maybe they have a web site?Dom
 NWFlyer 2 #8 June 3, 2006 As others have said, its definitely worth asking. Some states are very picky about direct purchases of alcoholic beverages from out of state, others are very lax. I think Clay's suggestion of going to a wine shop with the list of the distributors may be your most successful strategy; that way, you're playing within the rules of distribution/retail that often govern whether or not you can ship direct."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Another suggeston is to go back to the restraunt and ask them where they get it from.Dom
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
