stitch 0 #1 June 4, 2006 I've been doing contract work for this guy for a little over a month. There have already been problems,he was supposed to pay me weekly. He has paid me once in the last month. Then he decided we should run the trucks together, at his pace.Meaning when he felt like eating, stopping, sleeping, thats when we would do it. I decided I would be diplomatic, and see how things worked out. We picked up 2 loads of steel destined for Nogales, AZ., the loads are supposed to be there Tues. 7AM. He has us still sitting around the yard at 5PM Sat.afternoon. Then he wants me to drive one of the trucks to the store to get more beer, cause he is cooking. When I return, one of the side compartment doors on the truck is hanging open.He and his buddy had went to get groceries earlier, and those compartments was where they carried them. The doors appeared to be closed when I left for the store.I hadn't touched them, and there wasn't anything in them anyway. So when I get back, he has a tantrum and tears into me about the door being ajar.I tell him he needs to calm down. He just gets louder. I demonstrate by opening the left door and closing it gently. That it doesn't latch completely, by opening it with 1 finger. He's still yelling its my fault. So, I tell him he is being a PRICK. That really sets him off.So, I tell him to fuck-off, I quit. And I grab my stuff and leave. Who is right/wrong here?? stitch 0 #3 June 4, 2006 I was lucky in that respect. We have been at the company terminal since picking up the loads Friday. He appears to a bit trifiling when it comes to work. When this soiree was finished, all I had to do was throw my stuff in my car and leave. If it had happened in say, N.M., then I guess I would be taking the Big Gray Dog back. Guess it was best to find out what he was really like now."No cookies for you"- GFD "I don't think I like the sound of that" ~ MB65 Don't be a "Racer Hater"
