Kimblair13 0 #3 June 5, 2006 Wow that's soooo cool! Hehe I don't know where you lived before. Windows are GREAT! Except when they're too big and scary at night. Hey...I'm gonna pass you in jumps! Your still way better at FFing than I'll ever be! Too bad 530+ of my jumps are tandems...not so great for the FF skills.
karenmeal 0 #4 June 5, 2006 Oh!! Passing me by! Oh well.. but I'll bet I could win a blindfolded packing contest. Our current place is a basement with 1 window that is no where near the living room space. It is sad in here. Our place just flooded for the THIRD time in less than two years. We can't use our bedroom (the only room with a window) because the carpet had to be pulled up. (Yet again.) So we're outta here. ACMESkydiver 0 #9 June 5, 2006 The no windows thing was cool! Kinda like 'evil dungeon' feel when you're going down to drink and play poker. (That was much fun) But I'd go nutty if I couldn't see the sun now and then, too. -So is it a house or an apartment? Are the neighbors cool? --> Best advice to keep the neighbors from calling the cops on your parties: invite them. We always do, and never had a noise complaint yet! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
karenmeal 0 #10 June 5, 2006 Evil dungeon huh? What about the happy tie-dye tapestries? Anyone ever taken someone to small claim's court before? We're thinking that we might have to... ACMESkydiver 0 #11 June 5, 2006 -But it was a cool, fun evil dungeon!! I think it was just the cement steps leading down that gave it the 'basement' impression. The place itself was really nice. Small claims...sorry to hear it. Well one way to get them to 'make nice' is to register a complaint with the BBB. You can do it right online. The BBB sends a copy of the complaint, and the $ amount that you feel would rectify it, to the company. If they make nice and settle with you, then you withdraw your complaint. That worked for me when I bought some products online from a company and they never shipped them out. That's the first step I would think, beyond that, I dunno. Zaran Sayre, a NASTY NASTY rental property management agency, stole $800 from us. Since the house was rented in my mother-in-law's name, and she wasn't going to be bothered (details confuse the woman and she'd rather lose hundreds of dollars [our money] than sort through things) when I did all the leg work, we lost our $800 rather than the BBB route and small claims. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
