adrenalinejunki 0 #1 June 6, 2006 I have been trying to get myself hired by a certain company now for over 4 years as a mechanic. Finally the call came tonight! . I get to start work in about a month after all the red tape crap goes through. This job gives me a $7 per hour pay raise and lets me move to the same town as my home DZ. I live almost 2 hours away from the DZ right now and have to work 70 to 80+ hours a week. I work 11 days straight 12+ hours a day before getting 3 days off. Which works out to every other weekend off so i can go jump. Now I will be working 8 hours a day and have off every weekend and be already at my home DZ and have more money. What a big relief that phone call was. This summer is going to get the best one yet. __________________________________________________What's the worst that can happen? ImGunnaJump 0 #8 June 6, 2006 Congratulations...I'm starting a new job hunt today after a run-in w/my boss yesterday. I had been thinking maybe it was time, and then yesterday it became clear. I'm glad you got something that works out so well all the way around, especially after a 4 year quest...that's persistence!"...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort."
