Shawndiver 0 #26 June 6, 2006 Lucy, my yellow lab let me know that she does not want to be on a leash while I am up on a load. (dog friendly DZ) Came back into the hangar afterwards and found her exactly where I left her, but the leash had been gnawed in half! She is only on leash while I am away, so I tied it back together, and on the next load put her back on it and she did the exact same thing. Guess she was trying to say, Dad, show a little trust!! So the rest of the weekend was no leash, and she was the perfect little angel. Today is our one year anniversary of her adoption from the local humane society as well!!_________________
NlghtJumper 0 #27 June 6, 2006 Thats the kind of dog I would love to have. But noooo. A man will do anything for the right woman, and when that woman destroys him, that man will become a hunk of meat with the common sense of a rodeo clown! ~ Christopher Titus
NtheSeaOrSky 0 #28 June 6, 2006 QuoteNo, Sapphire is a girl-dog, and as sweet as can be, but she's got lawn gnomes helping her escape or something. How can a being with no opposable thumbs undo a clasp at her own neck? TWICE?? Rumor has it that she communes with the local cows from time to time, so maybe they're in collusion with her somehow. who needs opposable thumbs when you have two X chromosomes .Life is not fair and there are no guarantees... ntrprnr 0 #31 June 6, 2006 I posted this somewhere else... My Labradoodle (no jokes, please) managed to open the door to the apartment, get into the elevator, get downstairs, and get into the lobby before being tackled by my doorman and held until I got home. I assume it was the part Labrador that did it. The part Poodle was all like, "Watch my nails, you oaf!"_______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" McDuck 0 #33 June 6, 2006 Quotewho needs opposable thumbs when you have two X chromosomes . Hang on...have you been talking with one of our teammates? Came back this evening to find a beautiful, still chained, Sapphire wiggling and grinning at me from her house. My guess is that she tired of showing me how insanely smart she is and decided to show the loyalty aspect of her personality. Plus, her daddy should be home tomorrow...I think.
