Jaden 0 #3 June 8, 2006 I truly hope you do... To completely love, accept & understand someone... inside & out, is the main objective of life. This is the definition of a complete soulmate. Everything thing else is just for fun.
Flying-Wench 0 #4 June 8, 2006 i meet alot of people in the things that i do. I have met my life partner soul mate.. and yes it is amazing! but ive met lots of soulmates over the years.. people ive bonded with and will stay in my heart for a long long time! However, ive had loads of fun with all of them! My soulmate MUST be able to have fun.. its a pre-requisite (as well as having a filthy mind!) you ARE having some profound thoughts tonite Jaden arent you.. what you drinking? Jaden 0 #5 June 8, 2006 Beer & water are all I drink. I'm not drunk, after 13 :) ... I have reached enlightenment... I found my true soulmate on 5/20. I'm not sure that he realizes, yet, but I do. I knew the moment I saw him, I've always known. Another facet of life, I guess. Have a good one.

NWFlyer 2 #8 June 8, 2006 Are you saying that you're looking to someone else to help you figure out what your point in life is? Or someone else to make your life have meaning? Yeah, good luck with that. I'll stick with me, thanks."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke

kbordson 8 #11 June 8, 2006 Quote Tolstoy. I thought, by looking at "The Three Questions" that Tolstoy had a more personal view on meaning of life than "it means nothing" Look at http://www.yuni.com/library/docs/200.html Quote Remember that there is only one important time and is Now. The present moment is the only time over which we have dominion. The most important person is always the person with whom you are, who is right before you, for who knows if you will have dealings with any other person in the future. The most important pursuit is making that person, the one standing at you side, happy, for that alone is the pursuit of life My meaning to life.... who ever has the best stories - wins. Relying on others to make life meaningful may just bring pain.... life is just too unpredictable with too many variables. You need to make the meaning yourself. Hawkins121 0 #12 June 8, 2006 In A Confession he wrote: Quote A contradiction arose from which there were two exits. Either that which I called reason was not so rational as I supposed, or that which seemed to me irrational was not so irrational as I supposed. And I began to verify the line of argument of my rational knowledge. Verifying the line of argument of rational knowledge I found it quite correct. The conclusion that life is nothing was inevitable; but I noticed a mistake. The mistake lay in this, that my reasoning was not in accord with the question I had put. The question was: "Why should I live, that is to say, what real, permanent result will come out of my illusory transitory life - what meaning has my finite existence in this infinite world?" And to reply to that question I had studied life. The solution of all the possible questions of life could evidently not satisfy me, for my question, simple as it at first appeared, included a demand for an explanation of the finite in terms of the infinite, and vice versa. I asked: "What is the meaning of my life, beyond time, cause, and space?" And I replied to quite another question: "What is the meaning of my life within time, cause, and space?" With the result that, after long efforts of thought, the answer I reached was: "None." Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
