Last night's poker tournament really irritated the crap out of me. I was big stacks when I lost the hand that more-or-less did me in.

I had 10 10.

Guy doubles the blind.

I re-raise. Not a lot, but enough to make him think about it.

2 7 9 off suit come up on the flop.

Hmmm.... stretch on the straight draw. no flush draw. over-pair.

well, i felt that degree all in moment, as i had him covered by enough, and i went after him. he called.

why in the hell did i not have him even remotely on pocket 7s?????

no love from the turn or the river.

i am still feeling beat up. grrrrrrr.

I had a real stupid moment when I way playing last night. K 6 offsuit, and I was bigstacked. Preflop the bet was raised to $3.25 and I decided not to fold.

Not only did two Kings come up on the flop, but the fourth came up on the river I could have have had those guys right where I wanted them....

All in all it was a good night, still walked away with double the buy in.

So last week in the weekly Skydiver Tourney on Pokerstars (Which I don’t recall seeing you in young lady!!)

Im on the Button with KK
Blinds are 25/50
Two Limpers to me.
I raise to 400 (just over 2x Pot)(Have to raise big in this games and it is full of calling stations early on)
Big Blind call the 350 more.

Flop comes 2 5 9 Rainbow.
Big Blind Checks
I bet out 500
Big Blind Calls.

Turn Comes 6 completing the rainbow. (Board 2 5 9 6)

I move all in with my last 605 in chips.
Big Blind Calls.

Turns over J 3 off. Stone cold nothing all the way with only a gut shot straight draw which they picked up on the turn.

The river is of course the 4. Absolutely the worst calls I have ever seen.

Unbelievable.

How much does THAT suck??? Bummer!

I wanted to play the first time I saw you guys have a tourney, but I don't feel like going through the stress of setting up another money account. I play on bodog.

I play all the time in the National Pub Poker League. They play at different bars in the area every night of the week. Anywhere from 2 tables to 50 or 60 tables (of 8 peeps each). You can win anything from chicken wings to a cruise to $1500 cash. That's how I won the Caribean Cruise the other week. I've also won gift certificates, gold poker chips, trips to atlantic city, etc. And it's all free. Not bad, and lots of fun.
