matt1215 0 #1 June 8, 2006 Anybody else burned-out with their work? For me it's not so much what my job entails, more so what it doesn't. I'm starting a new job next week which is cool, but no reason to give a guy a project when he's leaving in 2 days! I'm bored to shit!!!
LisaM 0 #2 June 8, 2006 Yes.... I am bored out of my mind on a daily basis. The lead programmer makes me do it all the same boring way all the time....... ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

They put me on ritalin when I was kindergarten ('83) and I took the stuff till I was 22 or 23. I just got tired of taking the medicine and even questioned the existance of ADD/ADHD. MarkM 0 #10 June 8, 2006 Burned out, bored, annoyed, but needing the money. The up side is I can pretty much find the same job anywhere, so I may just move and turn into a DZ rat when my apartment lease is up.
irisheyes 0 #11 June 8, 2006 Completely burned out at the moment, which is pretty bad considering I have only been there seven months.
JohnMitchell 16 #12 June 9, 2006 I like my job, but some days it drags, especially the crabby coworkers can make it suck. But I'm addicted to the money.

bob.dino 1 #14 June 9, 2006 QuoteThe lead programmer makes me do it all the same boring way all the time....... Good, at least it'll be maintainable. I hate systems where there's 23 different ways of doing the same thing, four of which will have subtle bugs that only crop up once in a blue moon. It's easier to write code than read it, so write simple code & you'll be able to maintain it later.
LisaM 0 #15 June 9, 2006 Coding standards I agree with. However, when all the programmers are being left in the technology dust because she can't handle change... that hurts the company. Does that make sense? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
