AggieDave 6 #5 June 10, 2006 Nice truck. Now go here: http://www.ranchhand.com and get a cool rear bumper, front end replacement, bedbox and headache rack.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 June 10, 2006 You are asking a lot there, Dave. The fucker called me right after he got it. He didn't even know which engine was in it! Unbelievable!
swedishcelt 0 #7 June 10, 2006 That is a very fine truck Lee.

AggieDave 6 #9 June 10, 2006 QuoteHe didn't even know which engine was in it! Unbelievable! Ironically enough, I wonder if he noticed it on the sticker in the window when he bought it? That's sort of an important thing for a truck. For all he knows it came with a 4-banger from a S-10. Of course, with that 4-banger he'd get GREAT gas milage...until he redlined in top gear at 15mph.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." SkymonkeyONE 4 #10 June 10, 2006 He had a diesel truck and traded it in on that new gasser. It's a 6.0 small block, but he thought it had a 5.7. I laughed and told him to pull over and check. He still couldn't find any markings under the hood so I told him to call the chevy dealer and ask since he had thrown away the window sticker. Very funny stuff. AggieDave 6 #11 June 10, 2006 Chevy/GMC hasn't made a 5.7L since 1998 so it shouldn't be a 5.7L. Of course in 1999 they came out with the 5.3L which has a little more HP and torque then the 5.7L. The 5.7L is a good engine, though...my truck has one. Yeah, knew he had a nice diesel previously...its still fun to poke fun, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Any respectable Chevy owner should be able to tell thats a 12-13 mpg 6.0 litre without looking for any stickers or markings other than the 2500 emblem without a diesel emblem beside it
SkymonkeyONE 4 #13 June 10, 2006 Not neccessarily. It could very-well have the 8.0 gasser big-block.
Opie 0 #14 June 10, 2006 Well you got me there but it's been awhile since I've seen one in anything but a dually. I wonder what kinda mileage you see with a the 8.
SkymonkeyONE 4 #15 June 10, 2006 I have the slightly older 7.4 (mine's a 1998) and I get just under 10mpg pulling our camper.
skinnyshrek 0 #16 June 10, 2006 OKOK i am not good with engines. All i need a truck for is to tow the camper and my trailer for work. I guess i was all wishy washy with having a new truck. When you see the truck chuck i want you to find the engine size under the hood. I looked everywhere nothing.http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats?
