kelel01 1 #1 June 8, 2006 Oh, how I wish I had this made-up disease. Although I think it could shorten your life expectancy a good bit. And no, the "d" is not a typo. Look it up.

LisaM 0 #6 June 8, 2006 hahaha.... I just thought it was a typo... so many people say my brain knows what the word is if the first and last letters are correct.... ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?
SarahC07 0 #7 June 8, 2006 Strangely enough, google was not all THAT helpful to me. I have a rough understanding of adorexia... and wouldn't it be nice if it were real? Well... yeah, maybe not. People would die faster, that's true.

turtlespeed 226 #12 June 8, 2006 The film even makes up a disease (Adorexia) that renders Slevin fearless so he can flippantly discourse with each gang boss. or Like the varying symptoms , the final stages of this " adorexia " are quite different for each person . Some dive headlong back into love and find it ...I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

StreetScooby 5 #16 June 9, 2006 Adorexia is found in that dimly-lit corner of the DSM-IV explored exclusively by quirky-not-inventive screenwriters and their relatives. d_squared431 0 #18 June 9, 2006 Had no idea what the hell you were talking about. The only thing I could find out about this is it is made up. This is what I found.. is found in that dimly-lit corner of the DSM-IV explored exclusively by quirky-not-inventive screenwriters and their relatives. If you have the disease, you don't worry. About anything. Adorexia plays better as comedy, it turns out, as it did with Bill Murray in The Spy Who Knew Too Little. When used by an action film to excuse its smug nonchalant vibe, it positively smothers suspense. If Grant's desperate improvisation in NBNW sustained audience jitters, Hartnett's devil-may-care insouciance kills it. Who knows how reliable this is. kelel01 1 #19 June 10, 2006 Interesting. When I Googled it, I got exactly what I was thinking of: a (fake, btw) disorder characterized by a complete lack of worry or anxiety - no matter what the circumstances. And I imagine you'd die pretty young, confronting people who would be likely to kill you, or skydiving and not bothering to remember to pull.
