antifnsocial 0 #1 June 11, 2006 I am going to have a huge party outside with three or four grills and I need some killer recipes for it. Give me your best shot and help me really treat my guests. Please feel free to reply to my posts and pm's, but only if you're smart enough to understand what they really mean.
NWFlyer 2 #2 June 11, 2006 Not for the grill but very much a summer recipe. Get a big log of goat cheese. Get a bunch of yellow and red tomatoes (preferably roughly the same size). Slice tomatoes. Slice goat cheese. Make stacks of goat cheese and tomatoes (vary the color) Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle with black pepper. Enjoy."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. JENNR8R 0 #3 June 11, 2006 This is the best lemonade you will ever taste... Old Fashioned Lemonade In the 1800's this is how people made lemonade. It's wonderful! This makes about a half gallon. All you need is: 3 large or 4 medium Lemons 1 cup Sugar 1 quart hot Water Peel the rinds from the lemons with a paring knife and cut them into ½" slices. Set the lemons aside. Place the rinds in a mixing bowl and sprinkle the sugar over them. Let stand for one hour so that the sugar begins to soak up the lemon oil. After the hour is up carefully pour the hot water over the sugared lemon rinds. Allow the mixture to cool for 20 minutes. Squeeze the lemons into a strainer over a two-quart pitcher. Pour the sugar mixture through the strainer into the pitcher. Throw away the rinds. Add ice and water to fill the pitcher. Stir the mixture well every time you pour a glass. Store in the refrigerator. Serve with ice cubes and it's just delicious on a hot summer day! What do you call a beautiful, sunny day that comes after two cloudy, rainy ones? -- Monday. hungarianchick 0 #6 June 11, 2006 Grill some burgers (everybody loves burgers) but with a little something special. Use special fixins such as brie, sliced avocados, grilled or caramelized onions, or a blue cheese spread. Use you imagination! Grill vegetables: slice them thick, toss them in olive oil, sea salt and pepper and throw them on the grill! Great, now I'm hungry! "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
