boinky 0 #1 June 8, 2006 It's been three years since the Dixie Chicks made an unpopular stand in London on President Bush and politics. The public dropped them like a hot potato. They are now attempting to change their style and make a comeback. They have a new album. If you are political, has enough time passed and enough water gone under the bridge that you would buy their music now or not?Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? Doesn't say much. Look at the number of people that think that the music on American Idol was any good. Its all prepackaged, industry written crap. OR its copied music and/or cover music from someone who is a true musician. The same people who think their music is good are probably the same people who don't know who Robert Johnson was or Bill Monroe. Inregards to their earlier music, they probably don't know who Earl Skaggs was either. All three of those musicians are responsible for having created an industry and a musical style/sound in which the Dixie Chicks have made their money. So they just digest the prepackaged crap music and thinks its new, innovative and it sounds good.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
