Brian425 0 #1 June 12, 2006 This weekend, I had three people come to the DZ with me. Saturday the winds were crappy and some low clouds most of the day. So we watched movies, juggled, teased each other, etc, etc, etc. Three potential tandems go home and say, I wish we could have jumped; but, it wasn't a bad day. Sunday, only Katelyn came back. Jessica and Grant had other plans on Sunday. Arrive at the DZ at 10:45, Katelyn is in the air at 11:30. We get her pictures developed and it's all big smiles in the air. Eyes open and big smiles!!! The pictures were GREAT!! The day is winding down and I had given up on jumping. We go to eat and hope the winds quite down. After dinner, I get my jump in!!! A nice easy 7 way. (My First ) I did okay until I rocketed away trying to move 2 feet at 5.5. I hung around to watch them track away and landed with a big smile. Thanks so much to Sky's the Limit for making Katelyn and I feel so welcome. I've been there twice and got treated like family from the first day. With or without my jump, it would have been a good weekend. The jump was just gravy. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. Brian425 0 #8 June 13, 2006 I've been to your DZ, they treated me well too. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time I was there (Valentines day boogie 2005) and only one load got up in the Helicopter. Then since I was from NY, I had to help some guy break into his car. I did get a shirt though. That made it all worth while. Actually, you have a nice place there. The food at the golf course is pretty good to. I don't think they through up in the chili though. jtval 0 #9 June 13, 2006 .yea you showed up in the only rainy season we had. EVERY boogie that year was rained out at least on one day. IT SUCKED MAJOR ASS. but yea we're a bunch of asshole in the best sense of the word.IMHO. I wish I knew which car you had to break into. I am from NY too. which is you home DZ? I was only able to jump on L.I. funny thing is, everytime I tried to jump at the ranch it rained like a mother fuckers. My photos My Videos
Brian425 0 #10 June 13, 2006 The Ranch is home. I must have been at the Ranch when you were there. I am the god of wind and rain. I've been jumping at Sky's the Limit a little bit too. It's tough to be popular. I forgot who the guy was. It was some no descript little car. Might have been a white escort. I got it opened with a coat hanger and some gaffers tape. If I was stealing it, I just would have broken the back window. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. jtval 0 #12 June 13, 2006 I actually never went to the ranch. Every time I visited NY I brought my gear. everytime I landed, the clouds raced in to fuck my visit. I've been out of NY for 9 + years now ( holy shit thats a long time) and from the time I started jumping I must've been home 7 times. It rained every day for the first 5 visits. There were some days where there was a break in the weather and thats when I drove to SDLI. On the 6th visit, I didnt bring my gear and it was beautiful.its a good thing that trip was consumed with my brothers wedding. i wouldn't have had the chance to jump anyway. On the 7th visit I brought my gear....IT FUCKING RAINED. It wasn't until the day I left that the rain stopped. My photos My Videos
