soulshine 0 #1 June 13, 2006 I recently posted about getting a puppy. Well, yesterday it started having seizures and was vomiting. I immediately took her to the vet and he gave me a grim picture of the situation. It appeared that she was going to need a lot of testing and treatment that I couldn't afford and so the vet told me that the humane thing to do would be to put her to sleep. I took his advise and made the call. After I left the vet did a few exams on the puppy and decided to run the tests anyway, without any payment on them. He has found the problem and is treating her now! He is not asking for any payment or compensation, he just couldn't put the little sweetie to sleep. I get to pick her up this afternoon! She is such a little miracle and those who have read my previous posts about her and have seen her pictures will know what I am talking about. She's got a tough road ahead of her but she's a little fighter, for sure! I am so excited. I get a second chance to take care of such a beautiful creature. I'm a damn lucky girl! Bombing for peace is like fucking for virginity! ~DEVIOUS BEEF~~FGF #69~

Ask your vet which plan you should consider. Most are less than $20 a month. I can't insure my cats because they're on a special diet (pre-existing medical condition and all that), so I've got a rainy-day savings account that can cover stuff like that. There's not many things worse than having to euthanize your companion for something treatable because you don't have the cash. Some vets won't do it. The vet I take my cats to won't euthanize for something treatable. He offers to take the animal and treat it, and then keeps it at the clinic as a blood donor. The animal is so pampered and fussed over by the vets and the techs, and the other animals benefit from having a matching donor on site in the case of an emergency. Everyone wins. Glad your puppy is going to be okay. You must post new pictures as soon as she is feeling better so we can all fuss over how adorable she is!
