I'll copy and paste entire paragraphs into MS-Word, and let it highlight things that are wrong, and offer possible corrections to choose from. I find that method quicker than using a dictionary web site (slow modem), or manually looking up entries in my paper dictionary (slow eyeballs).

I use either Word [if its a sentence or longer] or Webster.com if its just one word. Webster gives you a pretty decent list to choose from if it doesn't recognize the word.
