I don't know but w. what he's charging me for 2 days a week of training and this diet, it better be worth it lol:D:D The first part of the diet is detox so he wants me to flush it all out I guess. Man am I ever flushing, and flushing, and flushing lol!

I don't think people understand about drinking water excessively. Anything in excessive amounts can have reversed affects - yes, even water. Water, good. Too much water, bad.

Yes you can drink too much water, but it is very hard to do. I read a chunk about this a few years bike when I was doing a lot of cycling/rowing.

ridiculous.. pretty much everyone's body needs the same level of hydration to run best. because you've gotten used to operating partially dehyrdrated doesnt mean your body really needs less..

it is EXTREMELY hard to overhydrate.. yes it can be done, but its very difficult.

I don't know why people actually COUNT 8 glasses /day. Just drink water during the day as you need to & don't worry about it.

I put a glass of water by my bed & chug it when the alarm goes off in the morning. Then I just let the water absorb into my cells & it really helps me wake up in the morning.

You are suppose to drink minimum of 64 oz of water a day alone with other drinks. Once your body starts to get used to it you don't pee as often.

I drink water obsessivly, last saturday, Granted we were in the firey inferno of SDA, but i probably filled a 20oz bottle 6 times or more, and was still dehydrated. Damn hunting for canopies, But it was all worth it for the kick ass free fly jump that you did with me Brie. Thanks again. Will I see you this weekend?

Comes down to this. Your body will tell you when it needs water and when it's satisfied. Drink accordingly. Drinking a little more than normal won't hurt, but don't feel guilty for not drinking any one day.

If you're using only water to keep hydrated during strenuous activity, you could be causing at least temporary harm as sweating and other methods used by homeostasis take more then H2O to operate. As Cecil advises... sports drinks and healthy snacks are better alternatives for keeping hydrated during exertive activity.

Probably about that. 5-6 glasses a day but some of them are pretty large. That's about 64 ounces, or 2 quarts. Since I pee about half a liter at a time, that's only 4 trips to the bathroom.

(Note that any non-alcoholic drink contains 99% water, and that food contains significant amounts of water as well.)

New recommendations on water intake were recently released by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science. According to this report, studies have found that most healthy adults are adequately hydrated. General recommendations were set at approximately 11 cups of total water from all beverages and food, for women and 16 cups for men.

About 80 percent of people?s daily water intake comes from drinking water and other beverages?including caffeinated beverages?and the other 20 percent comes from water contained in food.

Since current intake is adequate, the expert panel recommends that thirst be the guide for fluid intake. However, they also caution that individuals who are physically active or live in hot climates may need to drink more.
