Soul Mates

I just got done watching the movie "Serindipity" on TV, and it leaves me wondering who blieves in "Soul Mates". The idea that "Fate" and "Destiny" give us little hints, clues, and signs throughout our daily lives that help point us towards that one person we are meant to be with. I never really put much thought into the subject until tonight. But now I am left in a states of wondering. You know, what if? So line any great question about live I have, I take it to the experts. What do y'all think?

Absolutely. Ever dream of someone? This is a totally asexual question. I've met a few people that I have immediately known were supposed to be in my life forever. These are the people that I need to love & take care of, because they will help me grow. Fate & Destiny are reality... if you listen to your heart. IMO

I like to think that a soul mate is someone you could tell anything to, no matter how bad, and still love you because they know you. It doesn't have to be just one person. At least i hope so, i found one and she very happy with her current boyfriend.

No. No such thing. We find people we think we are compatible with and we give it a go. There is no "one" perfect person for anyone. There are many good choices of people that are of a quality that we would be able to make a life with.

I believe that everyone has several soulmates, both genders. I also believe soulmates do not have to be lovers. There are just certain people you have an instant connection with, almost deja vuish, you can talk to them and not really have to explain anything at all because you are always on that same level with them.

It would be nice if that were true. My life is complicated.

Its my approach to life that is simple.

I've been around for a while.
I've been so deeply in love that it obscured all else.

I've seen that overwhelming feeling vanish like it never existed.

Then It came back but with another person.

Then POOF! Gone again.

Again and again.

There is no destiny when it comes to love.

Most people confuse lust and infatuation with love.
I know thats what I was doing, too, but I was young and inexperienced so I believed that those amazing, all encompassing feelings were love.

I got older and I learned.

The relationships that last forever arent the ones that just happen by chance nor are they decreed by destiny.

They are the ones we consciously choose to stay in
in spite of the bumbs and bangs we receive along the way.

I believe in love. I believe in people. I even believe in forever.

I dont believe in soul mates or destiny.

If thats simple, then I'm simple.
