tdog 0 #1 June 17, 2006 Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement. The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week. The second sees his family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then waits eighteen weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month and finally has his surgery scheduled for a year from then. Why the different treatment for the two patients? The first is a Golden Retriever. The second is a Senior Citizen.
Rookie120 0 #2 June 17, 2006 And you think the Govt can do any better? They cant even get water to people who just got nailed by a hurricane but you want them in charge of your health care. NICE!If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

I never said I wanted the government to get involved... But it did upset me that my United Health Care premiums for my employees went up 10% this year, and some employees turned down coverage because they could no longer afford the $1,200 a month premium... All while the CEO of United Health Care, with stock options, made 1.6 BILLION last year... That means he made my yearly salary in minutes.... But this is not the speakers corner - so I thought it was funny that my friend sent me that "joke" via e-mail... I actually lit a corporate event today where President Clinton spoke... I did not realize that the average GM automobile has $1,500 in health care costs built in to the price, where as a Toyota has $160.... But again, this is not the speakers corner.
