ntrprnr 0 #1 June 19, 2006 And I... I.... (It's OK, ntrprnr... We're sharing here, that's what we do...) I.... I LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC. Sigh... There. This NYC boy has admitted it. Drove home from the drop zone today, and New Country on Sirius played the entire way. Made several notes... Thanks to Avis and Continental giving me free itunes credits for every flight I book, I now own... "If You're Going through Hell" by Rodney Atkins "Loco" by David Lee Murphy "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw and Up! by Shania Twain. How did this happen? I only listened once. I should have just said no._______________ "Why'd you track away at 7,000 feet?" "Even in freefall, I have commitment issues."

After high school marching band, I even have an apprechiation for classical and big band A man will do anything for the right woman, and when that woman destroys him, that man will become a hunk of meat with the common sense of a rodeo clown! ~ Christopher Titus

SpeedRacer 1 #12 June 19, 2006 Shit the internet just cut out on me when I sent this. REAL country music isn't the proplem. It's the soft rock pseudo country, where the lead singer has a southern accent, and that's it!.. soft rock ballads with a twang. that's what has fucked everything up. But there's still some REAL stuff out there. Look for JD Beverly & the Wayward Drifters. popsjumper 2 #15 June 19, 2006 Good on you. May I recommend some Western Swing? A great Texas Swing band, Asleep at the Wheel, kicks-ass. (Ray and the boys are cool.) One of the genre pioneer bands was Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys. A little "western swing" history... http://nfo.net/usa/weswing.htmlMy reality and yours are quite different. Royd 0 #17 June 19, 2006 Real country ended about 15yrs ago, when they decided to sound like rock bands. Southern rock, rocks. With todays' country, you can't here any difference between one song and the next. Honestly, find some classic country going back to the 50's and 60's. You'll see the difference. Rap isn't music. Rap is crap. See, I can rhyme, too!
