happythoughts 0 #1 June 20, 2006 I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day about single-hood. He was discussing his own personal warning signs. The things that just step up and say "Whoa" His biggest one was, "If she is good-looking, personality, etc... why is she single ?" I'm old, grumpy, drunk, and broke. Unfortunately, that tends to overshadow my other Sterling Qualities. Everybody seems want perfection (or at least have some kind of minimum standards ). Sometimes... when it is too good to be true between two people, it's just meant to be that good. I think that my buddy is just being cautious. He has a good life now. He made a good point. If someone is just "speed dating" through the phone book, it doesn't matter. A relationship is someone that you spend some time with. That is worth a little caution. I like to discuss things with him because I have no sense at all. I see the wisdom, just can't assimilate it. As long as they keep baiting the trap the same way, I'll keep stepping in it.
