Q: Are we not men?

Nope. Not a man.:)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Perhaps a second opinion will be necessary and I'm sure there will be plenty of volunteers. After all, there are men who have those man booby things going on and we should be absolutely sure about who is in the man fraternity.

(Checks down pants) Yes there is my happy penis. Yep I'm a man.

Joke Time: When is it time to do the dishes?

Look down your pants and if there is a penis there it isn't time.
Think of how stupid the average person is and realize that statistically half of them are stupider than that.

We are ALL Devo!!
That is why I cant get No (Satisfaction). I have an Uncontrollable Urge to be a Secret Agent Man that is Working in a Coal Mine.

You Mongoloid!!

:D:P:D

You can't get no satisfaction because the Girl U Want has got you Jerkin Back N Forth. I'd suggest you get Smart Patrol and excercise your Freedom of Choice in the matter. It's a Big Mess you've gotten yourself into, but I'd suggest you find a nice Baby Doll with a pretty Pink Pussycat to help you Be Stiff, other wise you might Shrivel Up.

Then again, I tend to have Too Much Paranoias in my Swelling Itching Brain. :S

I still don't get it... What's DEVO?

Devo was a band back in the late 70s. The idea was they were taking on a role of men who had undergone a short of reverse evolution ("de-evolution", or Devo, for short). They were quite a sensation at the time and had some catchy hits.

Their big one that kind of went along with their main them had one guy saying,

"Are we not men?!!"

(the rest of the group would say in unision, "We are Devo")

"Are we not men?"

"D-E-V-O".

It really was pretty catchy.

They are a band?

I'm still confused... I recognize some of the songs listed. For instance, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. When I searched for it, The Rolling Stones came up as the band. What does DEVO have to do with that song?

Devo did their own version of that song.

Not sure how old you are, but yes, DEVO is a band that was most popular during the late 70s - early 80s.

They had a very original, unique quirky style which was a nice change from the bland, Top-40, stadium coporate rock scene that was so prevalent at that time.

Popular DEVO songs = Whip It. Girl-U-Want. Mongoloid. We're Through Being Cool.

The great thing about DEVO is that they really are timeless. Sure, there's a lot of instrumentation that pegs it as 70s/80s, but the songs themselves transcend that.

A perfect example of that is the Nirvana cover of Turnaround that appears on Incesticide. And the fact that all of the DEVO guys are still around making music.
