PLFXpert 0 #6 June 21, 2006 It's all the little things... My hunny's not big on the "candlelight dinners" type romance, but I love his ways much better. For a special event recently, my hunny had the best surprise--at least something that made me laugh and smile and more than anything else was my favorite thing all day. Every morning, first thing, I open up the blinds on all the windows all the way---I love to let natural light in. There's a westside facing window in the kitchen that gets full-on sun and thus we've never been able to keep flowers/plants alive just outside there and the view is just a bare fence, no plants. On this special day, I opened the blinds in the kitchen window, like I always do first thing and there was a gorgeous succulent plant, full of blooms. (And I love to say "Suc-que-lent") And hanging from it was a little sign for the occassion. It might not sound like a girl's dream, but it was the best thing ever to me. He'd gone to 4 different places trying to find a beautiful blooming plant that could stand full-sun and only need water once or twice/week (b/c not even I can manage watering daily). It's been several weeks now (which is usually about the time the other plants would die) and it's still gorgeous as ever. And every morning I open the blinds in the kitchen I see it and think how special my hunny thinks I am I hadn't mentioned how much I wanted a plant there in ages, but every once in a while if he's standing there when I open the blinds I'd sigh and say how I wished I could find a plant to grown well there (I LOVE landscaping and flowering plants and gardening). It just is a small example of how much he really pays attention to me. There's not a person on earth who can shop for me except him---He's the only one who can order for me, plan for me or anything for me really, b/c though he's not a detail-oriented person, I am---And he pays attention to what details I really love. I love that about him. I'll take that over a man who does the traditional crap any dayPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #15 June 21, 2006 Billy I didn't give it to him though, his mom did. Actually she named him William. Professionally he's known as Bill. But, when I met him at the DZ all the skydivers called him BillyZ. So, I still call him Billy--although most of the time I call him "Big Daddy", and sometimes I call him "F*ck!" if I'm in the happy placePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back. PLFXpert 0 #17 June 21, 2006 I've kept him for 6 years--A mere 8 months into our relationship, we moved in together (I moved here for him) and at the same time tragedy struck his family in more ways than one. We delt with said tragedy for 3 years. There were some really difficult times that were very stressful and put strain on us both---I can tell you we had the "for better, for worse" thing down long before the subject of marriage ever came up And for the last couple years, thankfully, it's been nothing but good things and good times and laughter. He'd say I spoil him rotten, but I can tell you it's nothing compared to the genious, creative things he comes up with and they always me. OK, OK....am I hated enough yet for going to the "ooshie-gooshie" place?Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

jeiber 0 #25 June 21, 2006 Long distance relationship. Added an additional cell phone to my plan with the unlimited cell to cell calling, and mailed it to her. That way we could talk all we wanted without running up her minutes. We broke up last week. Now I'm stuck with this two year cell contract. Not sure if she's going to send the phone back... That's what I get for trying to be thoughtful.... JeffShhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
