kelel01 1 #26 June 21, 2006 Not really. I work until 7 on Mon., Weds., Fri. and Sat. and I go to school 8 am to 10 pm on Tuesday-Thursday. And that's just summer. In the fall, I'll be back to my 8 am to 10 pm 5 days a week schedule (plus regular work on Saturdays). Not much time for a second job. But at least I'm on salary, so I can take a day off here or there and still get paid for it.
kelel01 1 #27 June 21, 2006 Ok, I already feel better. I had a momentary freak out when I found out my life just took a big freakin' detour. Luckily, I recover from stuff quickly.
stitch 0 #28 June 21, 2006 QuoteI hate sounding like such a mom, but do you have any time at all to get a second job at night? When I was working a second job at Dillard's for my rig money, there were a lot of women who were going there at night and weekends after their regular jobs. If you can't do that, look around at what you could sell or at what expenses you can cut back on. I hate to say it too, but when my bank account is getting light, skydiving is the first thing to go. It's a luxury, not a necessity.
 karenmeal 0 #35 June 22, 2006 I think that using any type of loan just to go traveling and skydiving is a big mistake. If you really must travel borrow someone's backpacking gear and go backpacking. Good cheap fun. To afford skydiving during school.. you just need to get good at packing and start packing on your 1 day off per week. If you work hard you can make 300+ dollars in a day! That should be able to pay for some skydives and some leftover to pay off the credit card. Are you really working 40 hours a week and taking out loans for things like skydiving on top of that? Credit card interest rates are WAY too high and have to be paid immediately. That's why the student loans seemed like a good option.
