So the general consensus so far is a womans vanity?

I have never understood this. It's b/c women are so flippin' secretive (when who really cares?) that men literally have no idea what's real and what's not anymore.

I have never had a problem stating any of the above:

Mid 20s, 5'8", 125 lbs.

When I'm 60, 5'6" and 140 lbs I'll still freely admit it:)
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

OK, w/out taking this discussion into Speaker's Corner:S:D, I'll just say, that it will NEVER be.

Most people have to let that happen. I am not one of such people. I take care of myself.

I think that adding age would add another way to classify people. To what end? So you know whom to listen to? Whom to hang out with in the virtual universe?

I'm 51. I've been jumping off and on (mostly on) for 31 years. But what I write and say and do are who I am.

After all -- who'd ever guess that Sparky is actually an older guy -- he comes off like a young pup

Nicely put.

I agree, I don't think we need much info in our profiles.

I think there's more than enough options there if you really want to list your "stats":D

Good grief---this isn't myspace (thank GOODNESS):P

If you have a rig isn't it kind of easy to tell the weight range of someone pretty much?? I mean I don't have a rig yet so I wouldn't count but I don't see age or weight as being a big thing and I'm not a skinny or anything. [crazy

I don't think women care. :)

Wing loading has to be listed to determine body weight, plus it helps to know a little about gear weight.Apparently, you don't remember my infamous thread about Andrea, she didn't care in the least.:S;):P

this ain't no stinkin dating service. what does it matter how old people are?

Agreed 100 %

however, on the age thing... this years is the first time that i have looked around the dz and felt like i was no longer part of the "young" crowd. Strange. :S

I've felt like that for 15 years.:(

:D

I'm 25 and already feel that way:D I e-mailed my best friend since the K-grade and the subject read: "You know you're getting old when..."

and some of them (all true) that I included where:

1. TBS is playing your favorite movies.
2. Your daisy dukes are hanging on the racks of Goodwill
3. You no longer shop for a bikini b/c it's a new Spring, but b/c your current one is 4 years old and finally staring to fall apart.

:D

I see kids driving and I think "Oh my gosh! What are they, 12???":S

And last year I was "in" on New Year's Eve and turned to MTV and didn't have a clue who the featured singer was that was on (It was Ciara?:D)

Oh, and "Lords of Dogtown" would have totally been my kind of movie back when I was a cool extreme sports chic---but now that I'm older and I see what some of these skater guys are dressing & acting like I'm all "I can't BELIEVE I used to go for that!:S":D

I used to love long hair on guys---now the first thing that comes to mind is "No job, or works in IT";)

Soooooooo many changes.....soooo hilarious.

I LOVE getting older, though:)

Wait until you look at the hot guys and realize you're old enough to be the mother of most of them :P. That's what's nice about POPS events -- I'm not old enough to be the mother of any of them
