freaksister 0 #1 March 1, 2001 What is YOUR DZ doing for safety day? I think Dallas has some great ideas here for getting people out on safety day. Build it, and they will come...(give it away free and they will come) Yeah people should go anyway, but let's face it, not everybody will!MSN Home Hotmail Web Search Shopping Money People & Chat Hotmail® freakgrrl13@hotmail.com Inbox Compose Address Book Folders Options Messenger Calendar Help Folder: Inbox From: SkydiveDallas@aol.com Save Address - Block Sender To: SkydivingFriends@aol.com Save Address Subject: Jump Free at Skydive Dallas on Safety Day... Date: Wed, 28 Feb 2001 20:09:38 EST That's right, March 10th, you can get one free jump from either our SuperOtter or Caravan. All you have to do is take your rig to our gear checkstation. If you meet the manufacturers recommendations on placarded weightson your main and reserve, you get a free jump. It's that simple. (Beforeyou ask, No, you don't get two jumps if you have two rigs.)You can earn a $10 jump from the turbines just by attending the seminars, andpracticing your emergency procedures. We want to encourage everyone to givea little thought towards their own safety, and taking care of the friendsaround us.We have a lot planned for Safety Day!Seminars on: Freefly SafetyEmergency ProceduresCanopy Control (Including High Performance Canopies)Videography SafetyAircraft ProceduresGear and Equipment Choices and MaintenanceMental and Physical PreparednessSome of these seminars will be panel discussions, so you'll get to hear morethan one point of view. The objective isn't to preach the same old stuff toyou, but to get everyone to share ideas and information. We've designed theseminars so that they will appeal to all levels of skydivers from student toexpert and beyond. We want to make sure everyone comes out and participates, so we plan to keepit upbeat, and fun. THIS ISN'T THE SAME OLD BORING SAFETY MEETING.We'll provide Beer and Music after the seminars. Bo's back by popular demandto feed us. He said to tell everyone that he's going to feed us a firstclass dinner at special prices, because he wants to keep all his skydivingbuddies safe. If you've eaten with Bo before, you know he's not kiddingabout how good the food is. Just sign up for dinner at the Cafe.We haven't worked out all the scheduling details, so keep tuned for moreinformation. We'll probably have a "Plan B" in the event of bad weather, soplan on being here rain or shine. I'll update you as soon as we work out thedetails.Remember: SAFETY DAY at SKYDIVE DALLAS, on Saturday, March 10, 2001.
