Slappie 9 #1 June 23, 2006 Americans lose touch, have less friends I blame it on the fact that people have become too self involved to both to keep in touch with each other. The paradox of our generation is that we have a ton of different ways to contact each other, but we always tell each other we are too busy to keep in touch. It's BS. If something is important to you then you make the time to do it. Keep that in mind the next time someone says they are too busy to write or call. *edit to add* I'm not worried, I have no firends anyways. Maybe we can interpret this article to mean that there was a marked decline in whining and Americans are getting better at sucking it up. Based on my experience though, reality is actually the opposite. Maybe people are whining to their family more now because friends just tell you to suck it up and quit whining because they are sick of your shit __ My mighty steed
NWFlyer 2 #7 June 23, 2006 I just like that the study author's last name is "Lovin". And yet, she's proving that we aren't getting as much."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
