I lived in Astoria for a little while and had an amazing time during a world cup hanging out in some of the Greek bars/coffee shops/hair salons/travel agencies, pretty much any place you could plug in a tv. If they had a tv and a game was on, didn't matter what business they were, they were a sports bar for the length of the game. Hopefully it is the same way now - it was one of the best times I had during my year in Astoria.
