Sebazz1 2 #2 June 26, 2006 My mom and stepfather who moved to the Portland area last November have mentioned how surprised they are about the heat. They don't mind too much but they're surprised. They bay area was smokin hot for a week but things seem to be cooling down, at least where I live...

Heather 105 North of you we're only in the mid 90's Wouldn't be to bad if we had AC OTOH we had 4 drownings over the weekend due to folks hitting the swimming hole trying to keep cool. How about you all? R.I.P.

AggieDave 6 #9 June 27, 2006 That kind of heat sucks. Luckily we haven't seen it yet this year in my part of TX (its coming, though), we've only seen 100. Everyone keeps saying that "with such a mild winter, the summer is going to be horrible." Here's to hoping that's just a wives tale.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
FlyingJ 0 #10 June 27, 2006 Yeah, it's been toasty working outside in FL the past week. My brother was complaining about the Oregon heat this morning. He works with a "Hoods in the Woods" program taking messed up kids into the wilderness and was leaving today for 3 weeks w/ a new group. It's one thing to be out in the heat with people that want to be there, but I certainly don't envy his position right now!Killing threads since 2004. AggieDave 6 #11 June 27, 2006 QuoteI certainly don't envy his position right now! No doubt! On the flip side, the heat is helping with my weight loss/fitness program that I'm sort of halfway trying to keep to. Being in and out of the heat as much as I am with what I'm wearing keeps letting the pounds melt off.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I came home from work today and turned all the fans on in the house. and now I am going to take a nice long cold shower. I think I'll move to Alaska. I like the cold HeatherGarbage bags do not make good parachutes.

Muenkel 0 #14 June 27, 2006 Well you might want to try the East Coast. It's not 105 degrees but is being deluged with record breaking rain and flooding. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
