Help me pack!

Recommended Posts

Whoa. When I got the confirmation a couple weeks ago, July 2nd sounded so far away. All of a sudden it's only five more sleeps and I'm leaving on a jet plane.

Scratch that - three jet planes. One from Sacramento to Seattle... another from Seattle to Anchorage... and another from Anchorage to Valdez. Then I'll make my way from the airport to the docks and find the F/V Kendal, which will be home for a week of (commercial) fishing on the Prince William Sound.

So anyway, I need help packing. What items would you be sure to take along? I've already been told to buy the bottle for the Captain and one of those super stylish rubber fishermens hats when I get to Valdez. But what else other than clothes and bathroom stuff might I need???

Warm clothes, good work gloves (several pair), foul weather gear, enough cigarettes to last twice as long as you think you'll need...did I mention warm clothes?
Forget the life jacket, as cold as the water will be if you fall in you'll either drown or die of hypothermia before they could pull you back up on the deck...

Are you gonna be in Seattle long enough to leave the airport? If so, you need to pack some special "take the bytch out on the town and get her into trouble" clothes.:D

Nope, not in either direction. Arriving in Seattle at 11:15 am and leaving at 1:15 pm on the way up; arriving at 2:50 pm and leaving at 5:46pm on the way home.

Dammit.

Hmmm... PM me your exact dates/times on the off chance I'm in the airport at that time (I'm in transit on the 2nd for sure).

I'm shipping a large trunk to you - would you please make sure you get it on board and in an unused cabin, please.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Dramamine...LOTS of it.

I' vote for the patch. Never needed one on a boat, but jumping out of planes, well I like my patch.

I can't figure it out, wish I could.

But the patch, I'd take that over the tablets any day.
