How to take apart a laptop

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I acquired laptop that doesn't seem to power up. Adapter is definately fine but still wont work. I tried taking it apart earlier today by taking out the screws on the back but that did nothing. Gently levering the plastic just made it flex. Any tips? Do they hide screws under labels or the rubber feet?

Its an old Advent L8400. We used to use it to run one of the machines in the workshop. Tried googling but couldn't find much advice

I have a vendor specific tool....it's a Sig Sauer .40 cal
and I find the hollow poits to be the most therapuetic rounds to use.

I LOVE taking electronics to the gun range...so far:

cell phone (3 of them - one from each layoff)
