JENNR8R 0 #1 July 1, 2006 I was at jumpjunkie2004's birthday dinner last night... I sat beside her whuffo boss. Somehow the subject of skydiving came up. The whole evening's conversation went like this: "So, have you ever done any rockclimbing?" "No, I was into cake decorating for a long time." "Have you ever gone parasailing?" "No, I kinda liked to garden before I started skydiving." "Have you ever gone bungie jumping?" "No, I liked to crochet though." etc., etc., etc... The guy just couldn't believe I started skydiving before trying a bunch of other activities. I suppose that's unusual. Icon134 0 #3 July 1, 2006 of those three the only one that I had tried before skydiving is rock climbing... before I started jumping I went out to clubs with friends on the weekends (which never really did a whole lot for me...) I was also trying to learn to play the piano... I'm not very good though... and in college I did crew which doesn't seem to be all that crazy unless you consider the fact that I was bowseat and would have been the one to stop the boat incase of a crash... Shotgun 1 #4 July 1, 2006 I went parasailing a couple of times when I was a teenager. I really wanted to skydive, but I was too young, so that was the next best thing. I also took a couple of flying lessons, but I can't remember if that was before or after I started skydiving. It was somewhere around the same time. boinky 0 #7 July 1, 2006 *I did and still do all sorts of needlework and crafts; crochet, needlepoint, crewel and cross stitching. *I did and still do gardening with flowers or vegetables. *I used to go fishing a lot. Every time I had some time off, I was off fishing somewhere. On my honeymoon, we went deep sea fishing. In fact, my first tandem skydive was a gift. He couldn't decide whether to get me a course on how to "fly-fish" at Callaway Gardens or buy me a jump w/video. Guess we all know which one he picked, huh? I did camp in a popup trailer in November in the mountains of Virginia. It was the first time I went hunting for deer. I found out that it's really true that it's colder before dawn.
