um... well... it's a quick sweet bread made (flavored) with very ripe mashed bananas (i.e. when they have brown specks on them...)

well you can either swing by the states (ohio to be specific) or make your own... :P

This site has a ton of recipies...

in fact it has the one I used... http://bread.allrecipes.com/az/BnnBnnBrd.asp which is really simple although not the most healthy :$ variation. :)

I thought this was going to be about EATING overripe bananas...nasty! >:( I used to eat yellow bananas, but now they have to be half green because I like the more mild flavor.

I made 2 loaves of banana bread last week, but they were only okay>:(. ( I told someone it had extra love in it, so it was going to be GOOD banana bread. Guess I lied about that. :|) I always try different recipes so I can find "THE PERFECT ONE."

I made these loaves with brown sugar instead of white, and I think that's why the loaves weren't that great. B|

My step mom had the most incredible banana bread recipe. It had a crispy top that broke open and was goey inside the cracked area. Nice and moist with great flavor and texture. Walnuts for extra zing. :)
My dad was an idiot and in one of his fits of rage threw out all her recipes. She had a lot of wonderful recipes that I haven't been able to find/recreate.:(

Now I'm hungry just thinking about food.

The loaves I just made use brown sugar and its very good... but it also uses butter... (which might be part of it...

I did make a change to use half King Arthur - White Whole Wheat Flower...

but I don't expect much of a difference...

I'm with you on the bananas though... to eat them plainly I like them just turning yellow... but its ok I like to make banana bread... :)

My brother is a fantastic baker. On the rare occasions that I get to visit him he's always got some flavor of bread that I never knew existed but can't see how I ever lived without.:)Different varieties of banana bread are always good. Don't think I've ever tasted a bad one.:)

I agree with you there, but I have known people to scrape fuzzies off things like bread and cheese :o[:/]. Maybe I'm a picky eater, but if part of the loaf or block is bad, the whole thing gets tossed :|.
