Windwalker 0 #1 July 3, 2006 Does Peanut Butter ever go bad? How long does it take? How can you tell? I've been eating peanut butter sandwiches all day. Funny thing is, I can't remember ever buying any peanut butter. I've been living in my apartment for 6.5 years. Maybe the last tenant left it behind... ------------------------------------------------------- Windwalker Whatever doesn't kill me, just makes me cry. swedishcelt 0 #2 July 3, 2006 If it's bad, it will smell and taste bad. You're fine. On a side note. Ew.
MF42 0 #3 July 3, 2006 I've often wondered the same thing about honey. How is it possible that foodstuffs can remain at room temperature for days and weeks but not spoil? What is in these things that bacteria won't eat? How can it possibly be good for me if bacteria is afraid to touch it? Peanut butter and honey....mmmmm.... Windwalker 0 #8 July 3, 2006 The jar says Kraft Smooth. Funny, it's got some crunchy stuff in it. MF42 0 #11 July 3, 2006 I'll accept the dare and will try it as soon as I have some honey in the kitchen again. One of the strangest flavor combinations I've ever experienced was a chocolate filled with jalepeno jelly. I thought "Are you out of your freakin' mind?! I'm not eating that!" But she (yes it was a pretty girl, they can always convince guys to do stupid things) insisted that it was good, so I tried it...and liked it! The flavors complement each other surprisingly well. I've been told that the people who first discovered chocolate didn't have access to sugar, so they always served it hot 'n spicy. Don't know whether or not it's true, but after tasting that candy I believe it's possible. Matt

Royd 0 #15 July 3, 2006 I rerigerate my pb because back in the 70's I read about aflitoxins that can develop in pb. I spread it on hot toast with jelly. A bit messy but good.

Windwalker 0 #17 July 3, 2006 Peanut butter and apples now that's another good one. Take a bight and fill the hole with peanut butter. Then you take another bight and do it all over again. Gets kind of messy after a while, but it's definately worth it. ------------------------------------------------------- Windwalker Whatever doesn't kill me, just makes me cry. Interesting. I used to get peanut butter that had apple juice added to it - that was good. Disappeared a couple years ago though. Oh just remembered, when I was a kid my dad kept bees. Got a few stings each summer but was it ever worth it for fresh honeycombHeaven.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

I can't remeber ever making popcorn since I've been in this place. hookitt 1 #22 July 3, 2006 Someone took a spoon of peanut butter and put it on the popcorn ... one day long ago when watching a movie. Since they were distracted by either you the movie or both, the missed the fact some of the popcorn stuck on the spoon and put it back in the peanut butter jar. It was late.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
