sickandtwisted 0 #126 July 2, 2006 Hippie did all 30! Poor Kitty ran out of gas at 19. After a breif rest she did manage to get jump# 20.Skymama stalker #69!!!!
beezyshaw 0 #127 July 3, 2006 And what's with the rumor that John chopped his Nitro right after I relined it for this event...something about somebody (initials TS, recently wed) rigging his canopy to his risers and not properly connecting a toggle to the control line?? And damnit, Hippie, I thought I lectured you properly last time about being trigger-happy and chopping a controlable canopy. Can you say..."rear risers"? Thanatos340 1 #128 July 3, 2006 Mad Props to both of Jumpers. Hippy was a Man on a Mission! 1 reserve ride (Jump 4 or 5) so does that make it 31 Deployments?? Weather rolled in after 28 Jumps and it didnt look promising for a while.. But everything cleared.. The rock Star took one for the team and made sure we all the altitude we needed for the 30th. 14 way BFR Turned Zoo Dive. It was a Blast. But out of everyone.. My respect goes out to the Kitty. She had some rough landings that took alot out of her. When she ran out of steam, She sat herself down. I have nothing but respect for the decision she made. Getting in 20 jumps in 98 degree weather with Georgia 120% humidity is one hell of a feat.. Especially after of some those rough landings. I will also say this much for the Hippy Man.. 30 Skydives in a Day and at 3:00am that night, The man was still standing long after all sane people had crashed out. Congtatz to both. skymama 37 #130 July 3, 2006 People make more mistakes when they start to get tired. I'm glad Kitty sat out too and 20 jumps is still impressive on any day! I had to sneak off and go to the airport so I could come home but the two of them were still chugging along. chaoskitty 0 #135 July 3, 2006 Thanks everyone! It was a very fun day! We could not have done it without everyones help! I wish I could have made it to 30 but my canopy and I were not playing nicely with each other. I believe I grounded myself at the appropriate time. I would have been more upset with myself if I'd gotten hurt than I would for not making ten more jumps. We started turning loads at load 5. I made it through load 19, either having 5 minutes after a hop n pop to come in to the hanger, switch rigs, and head back out to the plane, or having someone run a rig out to us in the landing area and get right back on it! I must admit it was a fun challenge! HUGE THANKS!!!!! To everyone who came out and jumped with us, ran rigs out to us at the landing area, forced us to drink water and gatorade. Extra props to Travis, Brie, Tom, and Laura who all made more than their usual number of jumps in order to keep the loads turning. Thanks to Blaine, SkyDave, and Rockstar Jessie for packing their asses off for me. April, Krisanne, Kelly, and Michelle for taking good care of us! Love you guys! Also, big thanks to everyone who came to help me move yesterday after the dz event. After I get all unpacked, big party at my house! I have awesome friends!! But it was a lot of fun, and we put together some nice freeflies and a couple hybrids. Maybe Skydave can post his pic of the one with the hanger, stander, and stingers? It was a great day. Thanks for organizing it Hippie. Brie"Ive seen you hump air, hump the floor of the plane, and hump legs. Maybe I'll shoot for 40 jumps on my b-day in a few months.............................NO F*^KING WAY. Congrats Hippie for getting all your jumps and staying safe. Chaos doing 20 jumps is hard as hell especially on a hottt day and with bad landings. It takes alot to sit down when you want to keep going. You get the Smart Skydiver Award for that!!
