Gravitymaster 0 #2 July 6, 2006 Not saying all of them are bogus, but you may want to do some research before spending any money. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9006287/
MF42 0 #3 July 6, 2006 Well I'm a big fan of hot and spicy foods, eat something spicy almost every day, and I'm not getting any skinnier. Bunk, I think. Matt

karenmeal 0 #5 July 6, 2006 Here is a natural cure for you. To lose weight: -Eat less, exercise more. I don't see how consuming extra fat and not increasing the amount of daily exercise or reducing daily caloric intake could result in a weight loss. Does that actually make any sense to you? hookitt 1 #7 July 6, 2006 There has to be more to it than that. If you eat a huge Taco bell meal once or twice a day and then just take one table spoon twice a day of natural organic coconut oil, I doubt you'll get very far. A true good diet cures ailments all the time. Mostly because whatever you are doing to cause the ailment is no longer happening and your body is getting what it needs. I ate raw foods for a long time and all my allergies and asthma went away. All my joint pains I thought were part of just existing went away too. I'd still eat that way but I'm not very good at it. My diet is pretty good, though more fruits and vegatables would do wonders. The crummy stuff people put in their bodies day in and day out is the cause of disease. Disease seldom just happens for no reason. I've met several people that have been cured of many ailments just by changing their eating habits. A fitness trainer I met a few years ago has helped people with obesity, diabetes and who knows what else just by helping them change their diets and excersize habits. Individual, doses of whatever aren't bad, but without further change, it's pretty useless. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... NWFlyer 2 #8 July 6, 2006 Well-said, Tim. I have, in the past, eliminated almost all processed foods and refined sugars from my diet and it's really amazing what kinds of health benefits I saw. Heck, even my *dental* checkups were much, much better. Trying very hard to get back to that way of eating ... it's better for my weight, my physical health, and my mental health. There's no easy cures. But there's an entire industry that survives on helping people believe that there are. There was a great documentary on the diet industry on CBC a few weeks ago."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
Jaden 0 #9 July 6, 2006 Coconut Oil- It has the highest concentration of saturated fats (92%) than any other cooking oil. I could not recommend this; it will raise your cholesterol. Depending on your diet, unless you are replacing one cooking oil with another, do not add coconut oil as it will only add calories. Virgin Olive oil is a much better choice, it is a monounsaturated fat with antioxidant properties. It has proven heart benefits as well as documented cholesterol reduction. Water- This is essential. They recommend 64-86oz daily. I drink 120oz. Fiber- Also essential. It comes from fruit, veggies, whole-grains & beans. The USDA recommends at least 38g daily for men. Check out LaTortilla, you can get them at most grocery stores. They are superior low-carb tortillas with 8g fiber. Multi-Vitamin- This will improve every body function as well as boost your energy & metabolism. I like Centrum Performance. Green Tea- In capsules or fluid form usually results in increased metabolism. Exercise- Strength training & cardio will boost metabolism & attitude. An indoor bicycle trainer, was by far, the best $80 I have ever spent. Spice- I put heat on everything I eat. There are limited studies but it’s worth a shot...Peppers & mustard. Whole Grain- When possible, replace white bread & pasta with whole-grains. They contain more fiber & nutrients. Keeping the carbs below 100g daily will also help. This is difficult with beer. Sugar sucks. Try to avoid. Stevia is a natural alternative; it does not cause insulin spikes. It even tastes better in IMO. Never skip a meal, especially breakfast. Eat something light every 3-5 hours. SAN Nutrition has some pretty impressive fat burners if you need immediate results. Natural is always better. IMO Good luck! http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=1088

skydivermom 0 #11 July 6, 2006 I do the coconut oil and YES it works. You can also cook with it and put it on your skin. I stopped my Prozac several months ago and replaced it with St. John's Wort...one of the best decisions I could have made. I use homeopathic remedies for allergies, colds and even headaches. They work great and there's no side affects. Natural remedies can also be used to prevent diseases by maintaining a strong immune system.Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
