cuz somebody pays you.

This is true. :)
But we pay them too... though they're not exactly earning it right now. [:/]

Did you do a site survey and they didnt bother ordering something that you provided in your assessment?

Software requirements so ... no.:D

They just decided to develop from their vague memory of the meetings rather than the actual, detailed documented requirements. So it's sort of vaguely right but mostly wrong. :D

Scatter crude jokes and obscenities throughout the document at random spots next time...it might encourage them to read more carefully.

:)

I like your thinking, Vinny. Unfortunately, the CLIENT has read the document in excruciating detail, and while she has a good sense of humor, that might not be appreciated. :D

Remember, we're honoring briguy and his disdain for all things fat.

It's "suck it up, celery stick."

There - now will you quit whining?

Okay. Because once I'm done documenting all the fucking bugs in this software, I get to go drink beer. :)

Beer would be good.

Hmmm... good question. I actually don't know whether the developers are salaried or contract. The fact that they go home at precisely 5 every day would lead me to believe they're salaried.

Turn it back to them saying

"There's been a mistake. You gave me some other project's code. Where's mine? You don't get paid until I get the code that meets MY requirements.
My reality and yours are quite different.
I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
