What's with all the posters who have less than correct jump numbers listed in their profiles? I understand the high number jumpers not wanting to be bothered by updating. It's the newer to the sport people that make me wonder. If you're going to give advice to "younger" jumpers shouldn't they know where it is coming from?

just cause you have a bazillion jumps doesnt mean you should be giving advice.
ive seen jumps with 1k plus jumps and can barely land a canopy.
but same as the low number jumpers, just cuz you have 'x' rating dont mean you have all the right answers either.

as with ALL information related to ANY subject. do your research. Listen carefully. ASK lots of questions.
Evaluate what you are told.

the world is filled with ideas and opinions. whether those theyre right or wrong is often up to the perception of the those involved.

I know I help lower number jumpers. I give advice once and a while. I try to assisist up and comers with video and drills.
BUT, I am NOT a coach nor an expert. I relay this information to each individual I try to help. I merely do the best I can, as does the majority of the population.

I am one of those people who doesn't like to update their jump numbers. Manifest ledgers are my logbook. I let it sit at 1200 until I was well over that. I think I am just under 1300 right now. So please, don't take advice from me until I reach that number. Actually, just please don't take advice from me.

It was just a play with words, I dont think you should close your eyes and ears to the information given though. Its a wealth of knowledge but like everything else it should be discussed with your instructors at the DZ first.

I don't list anything in my profile. The world is a scary place to have any kind of information out there for any werido to see.

When I'm giving advise, most times some one will back me up.

Besides, anyone can list a number in their profile, and it's not always the correct number.
