waltappel 1 #32 July 10, 2006 QuoteThat's great! Wingsuits look like a lot of fun. It was a shitload of fun and nowhere near as awkward as I thought it would be. I expected the exit to be unstable and awkward (it wasn't) and waveoff/deployment to be awkward and unstable (they weren't). One thing that was really cool was the incredible responsiveness in a turn. It's like having *serious* power steering. I jumped a Prodigy and although there really wasn't any need for me to release the wings and unzip the legs after opening, I did. That took longer than I expected but I'm sure I could get quite a bit faster with practice. It definitely was not the scary experience I had imagined it might be and I can see why a lot of jumpers are really enjoying them. I definitely made some major improvements and now have a lot of information to continue making even more. It was great to see a major mistake I've been making on landing and learn ow to correct it. It was definitely money well spent!
