bat wing 134 specs please help my friend out

Recommended Posts

i fly a crossfire2 and a crossfire 1 but my friend flys a bat wing 134.

my break lines are bowed in a huge arch at full flight. i have demod many canopies and xbraced ones and they were also bowed in full flight.

my friends bat wing at full flight the break lines are tight no bow at all.

my guess ( and i dont know much ) is that this isnt correct.

does anyone have the the specs for the break lines ??

from say the cascade to the loop on the toggle that you set your break?

and the length of the toggle line to that loop also.

he is doing 90 front risers but the canopy recovers so darn quickly.

can anyone help?

thanks

Chris

Swoopers won't know it since the Batwing is old technology and they quit selling them before most the jumpers today started jumping. Precision Aero made the canopy but it has been off the market for at least 7 years now if not closer to 10. Call PA up and maybe George will fax you a trim chart for it. You'll still want to have a rigger measure the lines out.

If the lines don't have slack you'll probally find the entine line set is shrunk and needs replaced. The canopy has a quick recovery arc anyways. It was from the toggle whipping days where no one would use their front risers so arc didn't matter.

Shit son.... Not every swooper is a punk fucking kid. Just take Steve Armstrong for example. He is older than freaking dirt. He's like in his 40's. I'm sure Steve and Jesus swooped together back in the day...

I believe the batwing is Precision's baby.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner

My friend still swoops a splat wing, and he is a young punk kid. I guess that kills Ian's theory. :P

His brake lines were also short as hell (and I bet the canopy is out of trim too). The lower brake lines were replaced with new material with a lot of finger trapped excess, then the length was played with until he liked the settings.

For old technology he can still swoop the fuck out of it. :D

Ha!
Jesus was invented long after swooping.
It is a little-known fact, but the prophet Moses was one of the pioneers of pond swooping.
It required some serious skill to swoop the stone canopies that were fashionable in the Old Testament. Ground launching off Mount Sinai was challenging, but on his good days, Moses could rip out some serious swoops!
Talk about rooster tails!
How do you think Moses parted the Red Sea?
