skymiles 3 #1 July 14, 2006 Is it possible to continuously record from a webcam (USB type) and to review it later? If so, is special software needed? Thanks, Phil
GogglesnTeeth 6 #2 July 14, 2006 I have a little Logitech webcam that will work as a security camera/motion detector. I've had it a few years, but works good when I need it. I even used it to make a video of my cat when I was at work for a few days... click the link to enjoy!!! Go to the "2 days with Bob" video near the bottom of the page http://www.cottonsonline.com/GogglesNTeeth-Productions.htmGoggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!" Bolas 5 #3 July 15, 2006 The motion capture works pretty good. I used to use it to watch my dog when I was at work by setting it up to take stills when it detected motion. Mostly just saw pics of her sleeping on the couch though. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. Thanks, Phil I use a software called geovision (google will give you hundreds of hits) - made by a tiawan company... It is designed for security camera use, although not super robust like a $5,000 system, but $150 for the card and software ain't that bad... Then you can get a real secuity camera... But I know the USB cams work too...
