Richards 0 #1 July 15, 2006 My wife hates that I spend time on DZ.com. She thinks I use up valuable time that could be put to better use. I have to come to this sight when she is not around. Is this a common problem? Richards My biggest handicap is that sometimes the hole in the front of my head operates a tad bit faster than the grey matter contained within. AggieDave 6 #5 July 15, 2006 QuoteIs this a common problem? Not overtly. She gives me crap for the amount of time I spend on the computer overall, but there are many sites on the internet I spend my time on. Besides she's seen firsthand how neat DZ.commers have been in our travels not only around the state but to out of state together as well (Florida and Arizona). Our honeymoon was spent jumping in Eloy for the Holiday Boogie. She saw firsthand the power of DZ.com with the incredible amount of people that she got to meet that I had met on DZ.com. Quite a few of those folks were people that I have gotten to know over the past few years on DZ.com but had never had the opportunity to meet. I guess what helps is that my wife is an avid up and comer jumper with 400+ jumps.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Lindercles 0 #6 July 15, 2006 I asked her the other day if all the internet people ever got annoying and she was really cool about it. Basically she said "I think of them as his friends." Which I though was really awesome. edit: I'm talking about your wife, not my SO.
AggieDave 6 #7 July 15, 2006 QuoteWhich I though was really awesome. She's the coolest wife I have. QuoteBasically she said "I think of them as his friends. You know, usually when we're at a new DZ and she's meeting all of the DZ.com folks, the night usually ends with a party and fun at the DZ. So of course she likes it. With that said, we leave for skyfest in the morning.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I'm not surfing porn for crying out loud. I do think it is more that I have become a wee bit of a procrastinator this past year which is not something I have ever done before. Bolas 5 #11 July 15, 2006 Don't have an SO, but I sometimes feel that this place (especially the Bonfire) just sucks up time when I could be doing other things. That's why I seem to post in bursts, I'll go long periods without even coming into this timehole. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
