I was talking about the human posterior.

I like one that has a nice shape, and feels nice to grab. However I think that if it looks like cottage cheese it is just nasty(the bad kind of nasty).

And guys wonder why they're not getting laid.

Most women don't have perfect bodies, and the ones who have less-than-perfect, merely acceptable bodies are afraid to take their clothes off because they fear the inevitable comparison.

To be fair, I'm well aware that I'm no prize. I feel honored to have a beautiful woman in my life who can see past my various and sundry flaws to the nerd beneath. :P

I see beauty everywhere, often where others deny it. I figured this thread more more tongue in cheek than anything. :)

Nope. I will not be pacified. :S Nice try, though. :)
It's all over this board, not just in this thread.

Normal women don't have a prayer.

Listing examples to the contrary would most certainly be too self-serving to do any real good here. Suffice it to say that not all men are brain-washed by Victoria's Secret and all the other myriad "examples" of "perfection". On another site where I do most of my writing, I've expressed time and time again that perfection is only achieved through imperfection. And I'll stand by that.

RL,

Good Morning, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, What you say is true, but I believe that the worst offenders are women themselves. As a man I love to look at these so called "perfect" bodies. But when it comes time to live day to day, I want a real woman that I can depend on for the rest of my life, not someone who feels compelled to outshine the rest. If she is beautiful, great, but real lasting beauty is inside and has nothing to do with bust size or how the pants fit. It has more to do with a simple humility and a willingness to comprimise. That equation works both ways. Those are things that I need to improve on in my life too. Obviously there is more to it than I am able to peck out in these few lines, but look at how women relate to each other and men. The problem isn't always the man.

Blue Skies,

Mo

Its also just a bit of fantasy. 99% of men know that a body like that isnt realistic just as some well toned, bronzed stallion isnt what every man appears to be unfortunately - sorry ladies.

It is a 2 way thing. You think men dont ever feel slightly inadequate about there bodies!? (and Im not just talking in the prime position)

Realism & fantasy are two seprate things except for the 1% millionaire bastard who buys his brides or pays for them to look that good :D

Kevin, with all due respect, you can't be self-serving, because you're already taken. I'm talking about all the single guys who are bemoaning the sahara that is their love life.

I'm sorry, guys. I know this was supposed to be a lighthearted thread, but I'm in a mood today, and this is a bug up my ass.

By self-serving I meant tooting my own horn (I know you're aware of this), but you're right: that truly is pointless when one is comfortably ensconced in a relationship. Much of the mourning that seems to go on here among those men who are without suitable companionship is, as you well know, mostly posturing for effect, a line and hook without significant bait.

This deserves its own thread, I think. :)

Well... snap out of it!

I don't think so, Chuck.

I (definitely) don't pick pretty guys most of the time, because, for me, it's all about what's inside the head, not the body the head is wearing.

But most guys really do make me feel imperfect and defective, and that's not just because I'm old--it's always been that way.

I think Kevin's right, though. If we're really going to talk about it, it should be a different thread. Jason never did anything to deserve the hash I have made of his thread.

Well, okay, I'm still in a mood, but she does have a very pretty ass.

It is allways interesting the way things go in the bonfire. Some Philosophical discussions turn to sex, and yet some threads discussing the merrits of an overlooked part of the female anatomy turns to Philosophy. The Mind Boggles.

Don't worry about hashing this thread. It gave it more milege than it was orriginally getting.
