MF42 0 #1 July 21, 2006 A while ago, the eastern sky was dark with heavy clouds and the western sky was burning in sunset. A hawk, or maybe an eagle, was circling a couple hundred feet up, searching for small furry critters. The golden sunlight illuminated him against the dark background; it was like a halo or aura or just pure glowing life radiating away up there. A camera wouldn't ever be able to capture the moment. Icon134 0 #6 July 21, 2006 this spring my father and I were driving (delivering my desk from my parents place to mine...) we had just driven through a massive thunderstorm it was about 5:30-6:00 pm and at just the right moment the sun broke through the clouds behind the storm and a full arc (across the entire eastern sky) rainbow was formed... it was very cool I'm generally a fan of cloud formations (I especially like them later in the day when the sun is behind a larger cloud formation... causing them to glow...) skydemon2 0 #10 July 21, 2006 I did a high alt hop and pop and when I got down to bird level I realized I was coming down on a hawk, it didnt know I was there so I just hung above it following it as long as I could it was pretty cool Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone!
